Overview

Venture deep into the untouched wilderness of Kyrgyzstan, where towering peaks, crystal-clear alpine lakes, and nomadic traditions await. Over 12 days, journey through diverse landscapes, from the dramatic canyons of Kok Moynok to the shimmering waters of Kel Suu and Song Kol Lakes.


Hike rugged trails, soak in natural hot springs, and sleep under the stars in traditional yurt camps. Embrace the Kyrgyz culture with horseback riding around the stunning Song Kol Lake, an awe-inspiring eagle show, vibrant folklore performances, and hands-on experiences of Kyrgyz craftsmanship. This trip offers the perfect blend of adventure, culture, and natural beauty, promising memories that will last a lifetime.

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek
    Arrive in Bishkek and check into your accommodation. Spend the day at your leisure, exploring the city or relaxing at the hostel. Make the most of the facilities, including a swimming pool and rest up for the adventure ahead.


  • Day 2: Kok Moynok Canyon & Grigoryevka Village
    Depart from Bishkek in the morning and drive to Kok Moynok Canyon for a scenic hike amidst colourful landscapes. Stop for lunch in Boom Gorge, with the option to visit the hot springs in Cholpon-Ata. Continue to Grigoryevka village for an overnight stay in a cozy homestay.


  • Day 3: Grigoryevka Gorge & Karakol
    Start the day with breakfast before heading to Grigoryevka Gorge for a short trek to a tranquil mountain lake. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the water, then visit Kyrchyn Valley. Drive to Karakol, where you can explore the town’s highlights, including a Dungan Mosque and visit a local restaurant for dinner. Stay overnight in a hostel.


  • Day 4: Trekking to Sirota Yurt Camp
    After breakfast, travel to the trailhead and begin your trek to Sirota Yurt Camp at 2,900m. Hike through breathtaking alpine landscapes, stopping for lunch in a yurt along the way. Arrive at a yurt camp for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by nature.


  • Day 5: Ala-Kul Lake & Altyn Arashan
    Trek from Sirota Yurt Camp to the stunning Ala-Kul Lake, perched at 3,500m. After taking in the views, enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing the trek to Altyn Arashan. Relax in the natural hot springs before settling into a guest house for the night.


  • Day 6: Return to Karakol
    Begin the day with breakfast and explore more of Altyn Arashan before trekking back to Karakol. Have lunch in the mountains before descending back down into the valley. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant in town and spend the night at a hostel in town.


  • Day 7: Jeti Oguz & Issyk-Kul Beach
    After breakfast, drive to Jeti Oguz and trek through Kok Kiya Valley to the famous Jeti Oguz Waterfall. Visit Skazka Canyon before heading to the beaches of Issyk-Kul Lake. Spend the night in a traditional yurt camp near the lake.


  • Day 8: Ak Sai Canyon & Song Kol Lake
    Enjoy breakfast before trekking to Ak Sai Canyon. Experience the unique nomadic art of eagle hunting. Stop for lunch en route in Kochkor, then take in a Kyrgyz folklore show. Arrive at Song Kol Lake for an evening of horse riding and cultural immersion. Stay overnight in a yurt camp.


  • Day 9: Song Kol to Naryn via 33 Parrots Pass
    Spend the morning enjoying the serene beauty of Song Kol Lake before driving through the scenic 33 Parrots Pass. Stop at a picturesque waterfall along the way, then arrive in Naryn for dinner and an overnight stay in a guest house.


  • Day 10: Kel Suu Lake Exploration
    After breakfast, travel to the remote Kel Suu Lake, a hidden gem of Kyrgyzstan. Spend the day trekking to the lake and through its surroundings. Return to the yurt camp for dinner and an overnight stay.


  • Day 11: Naryn to Kochkor
    Start the day with breakfast before driving to Naryn for lunch. Learn about traditional Kyrgyz crafts and visit a local vendor of traditional goods. Proceed onto Kochkor where we enjoy dinner and spend the night in a local homestay.


  • Day 12: Return to Bishkek
    Drive back to Bishkek after breakfast. Stop at Ala-Archa National Park for a scenic hike and lunch in a local restaurant. Return to the city for drop-off at your accommodation.
